Job Description
This position is located in Atlanta, GA and will function as a Study Manager in a regional support center with responsibility for project monitoring and technical support on flood insurance studies performed by mapping partners under FEMAs Risk MAP Program. Duties may include participating in flood insurance studies, performing H&H modeling and floodplain mapping, conducting public outreach and providing mitigation planning support.Job Requirements
Position requires a four year degree in civil engineering, environmental science or a related technical specialty. It also requires 4 to 6 years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, water resources, stormwater management or civil engineering. Certified Floodplain Manager or registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred. Experience with the National Flood Insurance Program is preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills are needed. Experience with public communications and outreach is a plus. Computer skills needed include expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) as well as knowledge of ArcGIS and Hydrology and Hydraulic Modeling. Advanced knowledge of CADD, GIS, and various water quantity/quality modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ICPR, SWMM, HSPF, WASP, etc., is a plus.To apply, please send resume to [Click Here to Email Your Resum].
