Job Responsibilities

 

As a CDL Truck Driver you will drive a late model freightliner tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 80,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW); with minimal driver assist required.

 

Additional responsibilities of the position include:

 

• Checking vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
• Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned
• Collecting delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes
• Maintaining logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations
• Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles

Job Requirements

 

As a CDL Truck Driver you must be dedicated, motivated and be self-starter, highly motivated with an upbeat attitude and have reached the age of 24 at time of employment.

 

Additional requirements of the position include:

 

• 2 years’ experience operating a Class A (combination tractor/trailer) commercial motor vehicle with GVWR of 80,000 pounds or more
• Current, Valid non-restricted Class A CDL driver’s license (other than for glasses, hearing aid)
• Successfully pass a D.O.T. physical; and a controlled substance test in accordance with the FMCSR
• Be physically able to assist with loading and/or unloading freight
• Limited number of preventable accidents in the last 36 months
