Job Description
The Research Associates primary responsibility is to administer psychological assessments to clients participating in a federally funded grant for adolescents with substance abuse and co- occurring mental health issues. Candidates must have working knowledge of research design and a desire to work with data. Additionally, they must be skilled in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. This position demands flexibility in scheduling due to the amount of time out in the community interviewing youth and collecting data. Previous experience networking with Jackson public schools, Jackson juvenile justice systems, and Pathways Mental Health Facilities in Jackson is a plus. Since the position will be in Jackson, TN knowledge of the Jackson Area is preferred. Candidate must have the capacity to work independently as well as with a team. The Research Associate provides a wide array of support for field-based evaluation projects, including: tracking and retention, data collection within required timeframes, data entry, data cleaning, database maintenance, and generating reports from instrument databases. This position is part of a 4 year grant that ends in September 2018.Job Requirements
Bachelors degree in social science or mental health care relatedfield with 2 years prior experience in related field.
Preferred Experience: Work in the Mental Health field in Research/Evaluation,
and/or in Case Management with a strong computer background.
