Category Management Manager Dollar General

Position Summary:

Provide Best in Class Category Management recommendations to Dollar General (Personal Care categories including: Hair, Hand & Body Lotion (HBL), Face and Cotton) through the use of Nielsen, DG 1010 data, consumer and shopper insights, and category management tools.

This position will report to the Discount/Ahold Unilever Category Management Team Lead as well as support the Unilever Customer Business Manager (CBM). This position will be customer facing and represent Unilever Category Management.

This position will be based in Nashville and the person will work out of their home office. Travel Requirements 10% of Time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lead category management efforts across assigned Unilever categories at Dollar General by integrating category strategies and data sources into customer presentations. Responsible for presenting analysis and growth opportunities to the customer.

Work with Discount Category Mgmt Lead on developing best practices using available data resources/tools for Discount.

Provide monthly Category and competitive insights to the CBM/Customer.

4. Pro-actively support and present growth opportunities to CBMs and Team Lead.

5. Build and develop an ongoing relationship with both internal Unilever. Category Strategy Managers and multiple levels within Dollar General.

Scope
This role will help position Unilever as the go-to manufacturer for category management through category analysis and actionable insights.

Key Requirements:

• BS / BA required
• 3-5 years Category Management experience required
• Experience working with Dollar General preferred
• Experience pulling and analyzing Nielsen Nitro data required.
• Experience with Nielsen panel data required.
• Experience with planogram software required
• Experience working with DG 1010 data preferred.
• Ability to analyze data and develop presentations to align with Category Strategies to develop growth opportunities.
• Strong communication skills and Time Management Skills
• Strong Presentation Skills
• Excellent Excel and Power Point skills
• Ability to work across multiple categories and support multiple people.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
