Kaplan Career Institute in Nashville is looking for an Admissions Representative to join our team. The Admissions Representative is responsible for recruiting, enrolling and starting new students. Admissions Representatives need to feel comfortable working with people who possess a variety of educational backgrounds, as well as life experiences. You need to enjoy and be motivated by helping others realize the benefits of an education. The Admissions Representative conducts all admissions activities with the highest integrity and business ethics while adhering to state, federal, and Kaplan, policies and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:
Consult with prospective students on the benefits of education by accurately and compliantly communicating the campus features and program information to prospective students.
Participate in follow-up activities with enrolled students.
Keep current on the programs offered and continually seek to improve product knowledge.
Conduct extensive phone work and promptly submit required reports or projects.
Generate personally developed inquiries and referrals.
Provide excellent customer service to students from inquiry to start.
Participate in campus events such as open houses, orientations and career days .
Input all activity into database management system in a timely and accurate manner.
Actively participate in training development as needed both in a group and individually.
Appropriately represent the campus and uphold company values at local school and community events.
Work with other departments to ensure a positive work environment that puts the needs of the student first.
Operate within federal and state regulations at all times and adhere to company Admissions Code of conduct, policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Associates Degree (OR two years experience for every year of formal education required)
Adept in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate accurately and positively by telephone, email and other media to students and internal customers
Ability to provide exemplary customer service to a variety of individuals who possess varying education backgrounds and life experiences
Ability to follow processes, work effectively on a team, and maintain a positive attitude
Ability to quickly learn how to use a database management system
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Must be able to work some evenings and weekends
Must be an enthusiastic, outgoing, professional, self-driven, results oriented individual with a positive attitude who strives for success
Experience with CampusVue or other higher education database management system preferred
