Summary of Lab Technician I - 3rd Shift

A Lab Technician I for CSL Plasma independently performs routine analytical testing, interprets and troubleshoots laboratory procedures related to unit and/or donor suitability testing and other assays as required, and analyzes test results against set controls.

Responsibilities of Lab Technician I - 3rd Shift

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• In compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMP guidelines and all regulatory standards, independently performs, interprets and troubleshoots laboratory procedures related to unit and / or donor suitability testing and other assays, as required.
• Performs routine analytical testing using manual and automated methods and procedures and analyzes test results against set controls.
• Operates analytical instrumentation and technical laboratory equipment.
• Performs and documents troubleshooting, calibration and routine preventative maintenance of assigned instruments and equipment according to established schedule and procedure.
• Completes maintenance and quality control per SOP.
• Assures that safety regulations, HS&E policies and rules are followed.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment.

Requirements for Lab Technician I - 3rd Shift

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

• Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or associated field required.
• Minimum Medical Lab Technician (MLT) designation as required by the State of Tennessee.
• Two years of related experienced is preferred.
• Must have basic level of statistical understanding and be able to use statistics
• Good reasoning / judgment skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors and employees
• And proficiency with use of a computer.
