Entry Level CDL Truck Driver (Transportation / Logistics)

Job Responsibilities

As an Entry LevelCDL Truck Driver , you will be learning the transportation and logistics industry.

Additional responsibilities of the position include:

• Checking vehicle to ensure that the mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order; maneuvering trucks into loading and unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned
• Collecting delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes; maintaining logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations; reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicle
• Securing cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chains, binders, or covers; driving truck to weigh stations before and after loading along routes to document weights and comply with state regulations
• Obtaining receipts and signatures for delivered goods and collecting payments for services and when required; and inventorying and inspecting goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions
