Classification: Database Developer

Compensation: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour

Robert Half Technology is looking for a talented entry level / mid level BI developer for a growing company in the gulch. The company is wanting to grow this person into a BI / DW architect lead. The company is using all of the last est and greatest tools and technologies. It is a great opportunity to work with Datawarehouses and OLAP and cubes. The Initial work: * Performs data cleansing along with extract, transform, and loading (ETL) of data into database objects, data reporting structures, and dashboards * Builds stored procedures to access needed data for building new reports and dashboards * Builds QlikView dashboards and SSRS reports to visual specification * Work with the BI team and end users to QA/test reports and dashboards * Creates and maintains technical documentation, as well as identifies areas for improvement in performance, efficiency, and consolidation * Builds other reporting structures, scheduled jobs, and automated processes as directed by the Director of IS, Product Owner, or Data Architect

Job Requirements

Required qualifications - * Fundamental knowledge of SQL Server architecture and relational database concepts * Experience with T-SQL queries, complex Stored Procedures, functions, views, performance tuning, and optimization * Experience with Microsoft SQL Server tools, including SQL Mgmt. Studio, BI Dev/Visual Studio, SSIS, SSRS, stored procedures, scheduled jobs, queries, cursors and temporary tables * Experience solving data quality concerns and implementing data cleansing solutions * Experience developing OLAP data cubes and performing data aggregation * Experience with multidimensional database modeling and design * Experience with a data visualization or data discovery tool * Experience with performing source to target data mapping and providing traceability for source systems Preferred qualifications - * Experience in designing and modeling in QlikView including complex, multiple data source, relational designs * Experience in optimizing applications and creating ETL applications by using QVDs * Experience with QlikView sheet objects including multiple charts types, Trends, KPIs * Experience in QlikView scripting variables as well as File, Date, System, Mapping, and Table functions * Experience in designing QlikView documents/QVWs
