Branch Claims Supervisor at Thompsons Station

Job Description

 Under the general supervision of the Branch Claims Manager, coordinates and supervises work of personnel involved in property and/or auto claims adjusting and processing activities. Monitors and reviews claims files processed by supervised personnel to ensure proper handling in accordance with policy provisions, established procedures and legal obligations of the Companies. Makes decisions to assign claims to independent adjusters and oversees processing of the claim by independent adjusters. Assists with selection and training and is responsible for continuing development of personnel directly supervised. Maintains current knowledge and understanding of policy provisions, company procedures, and state laws governing claims handling. Will be assigned duties with regard to catastrophe teams.

Job Requirements

• Three years experience in claims adjusting, specifically property and/or auto claims.
• College degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance claims operations and procedures.
• Prior supervisory experience desired.
• Due to the duties and responsibilities of this position, a Motor Vehicle Report and Credit Bureau Report will be run on final candidates.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
