EHS Engineer 6479-11551 at Nashville

Job Description:

A leading manufacturer seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer for their Nashville TN metropolitan area facility. The EHS Engineer will develop, implement and maintain company policies in accordance with local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. The EHS Engineer will be involved in the design and functionality of the work area, facilities as well as work procedures, making recommendations and developing action plans accordingly.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, maintain and update environmental policy and procedure manuals
• Ensure compliance with all EHS regulations, make changes as required by changes to laws and regulations
• Serve as point of contact for all federal, state and local regulatory organizations.
• Manage Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections.
• Maintain and Manage OSHA-300 logs / reports
• Coordinate with staff regarding Workers Compensation claims relating to accident review, investigations and correction actions.
• Monitor removal of physical and chemical hazard
• Training of employees on safety policies, procedures, regulations and best practice principles.

Requirements:

• BS in Environmental, Health and Safety required
• MBA or Masters preferred
• 8+ years in EHS role
• Must be local candidate to the greater Nashville area as relocation is not available for this position
