For more information, go to www.qhr.com.THE OPPORTUNITYThe Regional Vice President is responsible for meeting QHR commitments and contractual obligations to contracted hospitals and the retention of multi-year contract hospitals within the Region. The Regional VP is responsible for overseeing the operations and the success of each client hospital within the region. The position is also responsible for overall coordination of QHR strategic activities, marketing, sales and growth within designated markets. Makes regular visits to hospitals. Represents QHR and serves as an advisor to the hospitals governing body, medical staff, employees and the community. The Regional VP is responsible for conducting progress calls with the onsite management team and the Region team. Maintains adequate communication, provides ongoing education to the Board and Hospital staff along with monitoring of goals and objectives established by the Board. Assists in the preparation and review of the hospitals strategic plan, management action plan and budgets prepared and developed by the hospital administrator. Acts as consultant to Hospital CEO (and other Hospital senior leadership) on day-to-day basis regarding operational problems. Recommends employment, conducts regular reviews of performance and recommends compensation of the Hospital Administration, subject to the approval of the SVP, Operations and client. Responsible for overall Client satisfaction and contract renewal. Works with CEOs, CFOs, Governing Body and Medical Staff, etc. to ensure contract commitments are fulfilled. Approves all requests for services to the individual hospital from the corporate office or from approved external sources to ensure support of contract obligations. Manages resources within the QHR budget. Monitors and ensures compliance with the QHR operating practices. Participates in internal and external committees, organizations, special projects and other activities as necessary. Assists Business Development Department personnel in marketing activities including participating in marketing surveys, proposals, and presentations, identifying marketing targets, etc. Responsible for add on sales and marketing. POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- In-depth knowledge of hospital administration, verbal, quantitative and interpersonal skills typically acquired through the completion of an MHA, MBA or equivalent degree.
- Experience working with Hospital Boards.
- In-depth knowledge of hospital organization and administration and the activities and methods of operation and extent of authority of the various regulatory agencies.
- Experience and/or working knowledge of managed care and network development.
- Eight or more years progressive experience as a Hospital CEO with hands-on exposure to medical staff relations, employee relations, leadership development and marketing.
- Experience in a hospital system would be a plus.
- High level of travel required.
EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
- Masters degree. MHA/MBA or equivalent preferred.
