We are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in our Chattanooga, TN location.

 

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations and functions of each department within the branch.  The candidate will have proven experience and leadership skills necessary to achieve sales, service, operational, and safety goals for the location.  This position reports directly to the Branch Manager.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned

• Provide excellent service to all levels of customers and key accounts
• Monitor/maintain appropriate and accurate inventory levels via cycle counts and purchasing procedures
• Coordinate with Company Credit Manager to assist with billing and collection issues.
• Assists in processing customer sales, returns, and credit transactions
• Manages branch payables and cash reconciliations; ensures compliance with Company A/P procedures
• Assists with facility administration to include all insurance, DOT, and OSHA compliance
• May perform other duties and responsibilities, as required

 

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 3-5 years of proven related experience, preferably in roofing, wholesale distribution, construction/building materials industry
• Computer proficient; working knowledge of MS Office products and other computer applications
• Ability to operate standard office equipment (computer, fax machine, copier, cash register, etc.)
• Must be well organized, a self-starter, and detail oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven Leadership abilities
