Job Description
TheImplementation Manager- TMSis responsible for working with operations and sales to implement new accounts into OHL while ensuring the customers needs are met in all aspects.
Primary Duties:
- Coordinates with multiple business units to meet implementation needs of new accounts including: assembling proper personnel team, developing solutions, process design, and user training
- Ensures new implementations meet or exceed customer required service goals and expectations as well as financial goals
- Manages scope change process
- Maintains and documents accurate project status
- Stabilizes account for transfer to operations
- Establishes common toolkit and process across OHLs different business units
- Ensures the Implementation Process is maintained and supports the needs of Business Development, Operations, IT, Solutions, Accounting, and Carrier Development
- Continue to develop and revise standardized project plans and templates for the various types of implementations
- Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company procedures
- Other duties as required and assigned
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:- Bachelors degree from a 4 year college or university, with an emphasis on Logistics/Transportation preferred
- Minimum of 4 to 7 years 3rd Pary Logistics industry experience preferred
- Experience with project teams and management
- Working knowledge of Mercury Gate and other TMS applications
- PC literate to include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to communicate with various levels of the organization as well as various levels of the customers organization
Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, and is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
