Job Description
Program Manager -FPG Reliability- Senior Compliance
Develops and implements programs to ensure compliance with all current and future federally sanctioned reliability standard requirements established by the federal energy regulatory commission (FERC), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), and SERC Reliability Corporation (SERC) for fossil generation organizations.
Coordinates the application of FERC policies, requirements, and activities for fpg generation organizations.
Provides coordination of compliance to these standards with other organizations in COO.
Initiates and coordinates required processes, procedures, periodic compliance status reports, and develops and coordinates mitigation plans as required.
B.S. degree in scientific discipline, or engineering; a minimum of ten years experience with generation and transmission operations, and an in-depth knowledge of NERC/SERC Reliability Standards and FERC policies and requirements. Advanced degree is desirable.
Ten or more years experience knowledge/skills/abilities
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of power system, generation, and transmission operations and maintenance.
Incumbent must demonstrate comprehensive skills required to manage compliance throughout all generating organizations.
Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position / access requirements and essential job functions
Capable of attaining a sensitive clearance.
Capable of working within an operating electric generating plant environment.
High attention to detail and bias for action.
Focused on safety and working in close coordination within a team environment.
Capable of travel within the generation plants geographic area.
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of power system, generation, and transmission operations, and maintenance.
