Join us and start doing your lifes best work.(sm)The Director of Community Outreach and Member Servicesis a critical role for the Tennessee Community and State health plan. Priorities include meeting all State requirements for Community Outreach and member enrollment. Additionally, its imperative that we are well connected to the communities we serve and that we have a full complement of community-based resources for our members. Today, our Community Outreach team manages approximately 1,800 different events throughout the 3 grand regions of the State. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in managing community-based events, ideally in TN; will have experience in preparing and managing a comprehensive marketing strategy and advertising budget; will have exceptional leadership and communications skills and; will have a strong understanding of our business to ensure all these activities optimize our primary business objectives. This includes member enrollment and satisfaction, health care access and quality, and community connectedness that addresses the unique challenges and opportunities of each community we serve.

Job Requirements

Bachelors Degree5+ years people management experience within a matrix organization ; remote staff management10+ years experience working with community programming within the managed care realmClinical experience is an assetExperience leading community outreach team idealUnderstanding of Medicaid and Dual Eligible plansPopulation health program experience is an assetExperience leading strategic initiatives that drive healthcare access, quality and community connectedness will be given preference10 years experience in a deadline driven environment10 years proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. 10 years experience demonstrating organization skills.10 years experience managing and prioritizing several deliverables10 years experience in meeting or exceeding sales promotion/marketing targets an asset10 years experience influencing and collaborating with others10 years project management experienceAbility to be flexible and work with ambiguity UnitedHealthcare Community & State is part of the family of companies that make UnitedHealth Group one of the leaders across most major segments of the US health care system.
