We are looking for instructors to teach the following courses.... college algebra, english composition, psychology, american government

Lincoln College of Technology, located in Nashville, TN, is seeking Adjunct Instructors.  We are a member of the Lincoln Education Services family of proprietary schools.

Responsibilities, Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Provide quality delivery of assigned courses using the appropriate methods, including teaching, tutoring, and lecturing.  Evaluate and assist in the resolution of student issues and problems, and ensure to take appropriate action to the satisfaction of the student and in compliance with the policies, procedures and legal requirements of the Company and/or regulatory agencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, prepare and deliver quality classroom instruction in lecture and/or laboratory formats based on the approved curricula.

Lead and manage students and direct learning activities in the classroom, laboratory, and shop.

Ensure that all classes start and end at the prescribed times.

Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.

Communicate, support and enforce school policies and procedures; advise students accordingly.  Advise students on attendance, grades and discipline issues as necessary.

Complete, in a timely and accurate manner, all required forms such as those related to attendance, grade reports, mid-term reports, student advising forms and all other assigned educational materials.

Maintain accurate daily attendance records and communicate any attendance concerns to the Director of Education/Education Supervisor.

Provide students with academic support, tutoring, and skills enhancement as necessary.

Secure and utilize approved course materials and teaching methods in order to ensure that the needs of the students are met.

Prepare and organize the lesson materials, equipment, and training area.

Develop training aids and projects relevant to the subject matter taught.

Provide relevant enrichment to class teaching from personal experience.

Motivate students by demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, sensitivity for their concerns.  Actively involve them in classroom discussions and/or activities. Identify different student learning styles and adjust accordingly.

Ensure that all educational activity is conducted in an ethical manner.

Participate in instructional methods training under the guidance of Education Department management. Earn and update required certifications and development programs in accordance with the Company’s requirements for the assigned instructional position.

Contribute to the curriculum review process.

Where applicable, visit externship or internship sites and complete the required documentation.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

Bachelor’s degree

A minimum of 5 years (within the last 7 years) of practical work experience in the field taught.
