Warehouse Planner at Chattanooga

Job Description

Hofmann Services has a Temporary Contract Opening for the Position of Warehouse Planner.  Our Client is the worlds third largest manufacturer of automobiles. The contract lasts through August 2014 with the possibility of extending further.

The successful candidate will support new company assembly warehouse extension planning activities. We are seeking a bright professional with a minimum of 3 -5 years of experience as a Warehouse Planner in a manufacturing high volume environment.

The ideal candidate will also have experience in:

• Overall warehouse layout planning
• KLT storage and rack planning
• GLT block storage layout planning
• Dolly delivery route planning
• Route simulation
• Unload/put-away calculations and simulations
• Project scheduling, tracking and reporting

Job Requirements

• 3-5 years experience 
• Strong warehouse layout planning knowledge
• Strong  warehouse layout process planning
• Proficient in Microsoft Project
• Some flexible working hours ability
• Reports to Assembly Engineering Manager

Desired:

• Logistics knowledge
• SAP knowledge (specifically WM module)
• Experience using warehouse simulation toolds
