Application Developer II (Integration Services) - Any CHI Location at Chattanooga

Job Description

Job Summary:
  • Designs, develops, tests, documents, and implements software code
  • Uses problem-solving and analytical skills to design, implement, upgrade and support complex application systems
  • Develops, maintains and customizes groupware environment structures
Essential Duties:
  • Configures application instances based on user and vendor requirements
  • Performs application coding and building customized structures in groupware environment
  • Tests applications, application interfaces and reporting
  • Works independently with users to help them understand application functionality, enhancements and processes
  • Applies application coding updates and revisions
  • Tests applications in QA environments before deployment in production
  • Creates and maintains documentation for applications and enhancements
  • Supports standardization of documentation and processes within ITS
  • Provides Level 2 and 3 support.
  • Manages all but the most complex change management requests
  • Collaborates in team environments and independently with vendors,
  • business partners and IT teams on projects, support, application development and standardization
  • Serves as a technical resource for application users and business partners for requirement and specification creation
  • Collaborates with business and facility leadership on development of application standardization
  • Collaborates with key vendors to understand future application product plans
  • Provides input on defining application architecture
  • Additional tasks/responsibilities as defined.
  • May require some on-call coverage responsibilities.

Job Requirements

Education:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related technical fieldrequired..
  • May substitute an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
  • 5 years of total IT/application experience preferred.
  • Technical knowledge with Product/Vendor Analysis and software support
  • Experience working directly with vendors.
  • Experience in programming concepts, application development, and
  • software development life cycle processes and methodologies.
  • Experience successfully delivering distributed, multi-tier software products to customers.
  • Proficient in working with database structures
  • Knowledge of ITIL processed preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Works with IT staff to integrate processes with application functionality.
  • Works with IT staff on project teams.
  • Stays abreast with IT industry best practices and vendor specific application methodologies.
  • Works with Lead staff in the growth and development of application IT staff through education, activities and mentoring in support of the software applications.
  • Maintains relationships with management to coordinate daily operations.
  • Works with IT staff to develop, standardize and maintain documentation.
  • Works closely with IT staff in assessing needs and developing business plans.
  • Works with Technical Analysts on planning implementation and upgrades of applications.
  • Works with Application Analysts on planning for maintenance releases, problem resolution, and requirements and specification designs.
  • Works closely with other technical teams to implement infrastructure improvements.
