Job Description
HR GeneralistQuad/Graphics is seeking a "hands-on" HR Generalist responsible for operational HR functions in the Nashville, TN Plant. The successful candidate will support the goals of the HR division, ensuring responsive and value added services to all employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of generalist functions, including, but not limited to:- Coordinating all aspects of recruitment, including job postings, developing and utilizing screening processes effectively, sourcing recruitment methods, interviewing candidates, making appropriate candidate selections, and providing employment offers
- Conducting orientation and documentation of new employees
- Assisting employees with guidance on a variety employee relation matters
- Provide managers with guidance on employee coaching and corrective action
- Benefits administration, including processing enrollments, benefit changes and answering employee inquiries
- Assist with mentorship program and ensure that all paperwork has been turned in
- Assist with exit interviews
- Develop and maintain procedures aimed at improving the quality and delivery of human resources programs/services
- Act as back up in absence of Human Resources Manager
- Handle a variety of administrative tasks
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
The hours typically will be 6AM-2PM (may include some weekend shifts) at about 20 hours a week.
Job Requirements
HR GeneralistSuccessful candidates must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, with or without a reasonable accommodation. Prior food service experience is required. This position also requires a positive attitude and good people skills while in contact with customers and fellow employees. In addition, the understanding of cash register functions as they relate to entering the customers orders on a touch screen is also required.
