Job Classification: Contract The primary function/purpose of this job. Translate prescriptions filled out by the MDO and enters it on the patients profile. Look for patients allergies, therapies, and current medication on different forms and enter them on the patient profile history. Verifies all information is complete on the rx and all necessary information is entered on the patients profile. Follows all necessary guidelines to ensure laws and regulations are followed. Vary work duties according to business needs.Work Environment: Call center setting, very faced paced, strict schedule.Hours of operation are from 7am to 7:30pm CST and most positions will end later in the day.Dress code-Casual dress code policy every day.Attendance policy-- Occurrences/absences and corrective action will be tracked (roll off) over a period of six months; previously they were tracked over 12 months.- Late arrivals and early quits will no longer be accounted for in the occurrence/absence totals. Instead they will be addressed from a behavioral perspective by leaders when patterns are presented.- Multiple, consecutive days of absence (maximum of five) will be linked as one occurrence/absence when an employee brings in a physicians note stating they were under his or her care. Qualifications: Minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities. High School diploma or GED, previous data entry experience. Previous Pharmacy Tech experience is preferred. Experience in a retail/specialty pharmacy setting very helpful. Flexibility to adapt to changing environment necessary. Good organizational ability and attention to detail. Excellent phone etiquette skills and ability to interact professionally with others. Must maintain confidentiality on all patient health information. Must be able to interrupt and execute all policies and procedures. Pharmacy technician certification per state guidelines. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within pharmacy guidelines helpful. Good typing skills and computer knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint). Preferred Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years certified pharmacy technician experience.Licenses/CertificationsCertified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)If the candidates dont have a State of TN license, they must be able to obtain it within 90 days of their start date. Performance Expectations: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The 5 or 6 major task areas required of the incumbents to successfully perform in this job. Technician also enters any necessary supplies in accordance with state regulations and enters any new allergy, medications, or health conditions identified. 40% 2. Look for patients allergies, therapies, and current medication on different forms and enter them on the patient profile history 30% 3.Pre-QA Technicians - Perform the initial entry (translation) of the prescription from an imaged prescription within a referral status. They also input any allergy, medications, or health condition information on the referral into the patients profile. Verifies all information is complete on the rx and all necessary information is entered on the patients profile 25% 4.Other duties as needed. 3% 5. Responsible for good housekeeping techniques, adhering to quality and production standards while complying with all applicable company, state and federal safety and environmental programs and procedures. 2% Interview Information: Interviews will be with 2 managers from the eRX team. Interviews will be behaviorally based and candidates must be able to articulate how they have handled situations in the past from beginning to end.
