Broker Comp Representative at Chattanooga

Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Research and resolve broker compensation issues, either independently or with guidance from more experienced team members. Will often partner with other business areas with a focus on both specific case resolution and future service problem prevention as appropriate
  • Respond to inquiries and service requests from brokers, field offices, and other Home Office business partners
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with internal partners to ensure service standards and customer needs are met.
  • Develop on-going internal and external relationships
  • Develop an awareness of departmental reports and data and the appropriate action steps for resolution
  • Actively seeks opportunities for continuous improvement and identification of workflow improvements
  • Able and willing to accept a level of accountability for teams service results
  • May perform other duties as assigned
  • Job Requirements

    • 4 year degree preferred or Associates degree with 1-2 years relevant work experience OR equivalent work experience
    • General knowledge of:
      • systems used to administer broker compensation
      • historical and current broker compensation arrangements
      • specific lines of business, across companies
    • Demonstrates strong leadership and role model attributes on a consistent basis
    • Good mathematical, analytical & process analysis skills
    • Excellent oral & written communication skills
    • Excellent telephone and customer service skills
    • Strong PC skills, must be able to work in multiple systems
    • Strong organizational & prioritization skills
    • Strong level of personal accountability
    • Ability to operate in a high pace, high stress, multi-tasking environment
    • Team Player
    • Listening skills
