Job Description

Job Classification: Contract Replace defective major components in a laptop computer, using a combination of hand tools and calibrated electric drivers- Be able to learn workflow computer system that tracks repair progress and parts usage -- training provided - Possesses fine motor skills and mechanical inclination to : o Disassemble to the level necessary for component replacement o Remove defective componento Install replacement component (no soldering required)o Insure replacement component and associated wiring is placed exactly as the originalo Reassemble laptop computero Inspect for correct assemblyo Check operation to determine if original customer issue is resolved and no other issue remain.- Training on workflow system and specific disassembly/assembly techniques provided - Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.- Mounts assembled components to boards or units.- Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs and switches, to assemblies.- Handles/install polarized/non-polarized components on designated location on product.- Communicates any process problems with peers, leads, supervisors and/or engineers.- Perform preventative maintenance on production line machinery.- Fast paced environment - Held to specific quality and production targets Join Aerotek Commercial Staffing®.
