Job Description

CORPORATE BENEFITS MANAGER  

 

TeamHealth seeks an experienced Benefits Manager to join its Human Resources team. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the day to day benefit functions and related staff for TeamHealth and supports the Corporate Director with special projects.

 

Reporting to the Director, the Benefits Manager oversees benefits administration including 401(k), health & life insurance, vacation, sick leave, cafeteria plan, voluntary benefits, communicates and interacts with benefit vendors, payroll staff and division contacts to ensure smooth processes are developed and maintained, understands workers compensation administration and assure all worker’s compensation claims are filed accurately and timely, manages/trains/mentors/coaches/evaluates benefit center personnel, manages the Employee Stock and Non-qualified Stock Plans including the administration, communication, enrollment and purchase of the stock, and stays current on Human Resources/Benefit laws and practices and recommends changes as needed (including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA etc.).

Job Requirements


The qualifications include:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field,
  • Five to eight years of experience in corporate benefits role with multi-state plans,
  • People management and leadership skills are critical and a minimum of two to three years supervisory experience is highly desired,
  • Experience transitioning benefit plans, benefit contract renewals and implementing benefits plans for newly acquired and consolidated companies,
  • Excellent interpersonal skills,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Excellent computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database management, HRIS),
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills,
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills and ability to attend to detail,
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines,
  • Ability to adapt to rapid change and ability to handle stress and conflict well,
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision,
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
