Human Resources Manager at Cleveland

Job Description

Eaton Corporaton, located in Cleveland, TN, has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Manager. The Cleveland, TN plant, with 225 employees, manufactures electrical disconnect switches (safety switches). The HRM reports directly to the Plant Manager, with a functional reporting relationship to the Division HRM for the Commercial Distribution Products & Assemblies (CDPA) Division.

The primary function of this position is to develop, implement and coordinate the application of established human resource policies and systems, and ensure alignment with all elements of Eaton Values and Philosophy.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

A. Strategically deliver HR services, programs and initiatives aligned with the sector and division strategy and Eaton Values & Philosophy
B. Lead talent acquisition and development activities and drive the talent review process to build organizational capability, supporting a high-performance culture
C. Collaborate with finance and operations to establish effective manning strategies, linked to financial results for the facility
D. Utilize coaching, consulting and facilitation skills to influence behavior and business decisions consistent with Eaton Values & Philosophy
E. Develop and execute a competitive compensation strategy to recognize and reward performance
F. Ensure that performance management practices are fully integrated and well deployed to raise performance within the facility
G. Facilitate administration of Workers Compensation, STD/LTD and related programs
H. Champion and lead diversity and inclusion efforts
I. Ensure facility compliance with governmental regulations, such as: Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), etc.
J. Analyze available data to proactively identify opportunities to continuously improve department and organization performance
K. Champion community involvement and outreach efforts

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years experience in human resources
- Eligible to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship

Position Criteria:
- Masters degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and influence others
- Facilitation skills
