Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor at Nashville

Job Description

Our client is a leading food company and is currently seeking an accomplished Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:

1) Facilitate compliance with provincial and corporate health & safety policies and procedures
2) Participate in strategic planning towards annual objectives, goals and measurements as applied to environment, security and health & safety
3) Participate in management of disability management program and administer health & safety training program
4) Participate in joint environmental health & safety committees
5) Supervise internal & external audit programs
6) Participate in health & safety committee meetings
7) Facilitate hazard identification / analysis & risk assessment activities
8) Follow procedures and observe precautions for the use of special materials
9) Identify hazards and potential hazards in the field
10) Calibrate and repair safety equipment
11) Conduct on-site review and inspections of production areas
12) Determine corrective actions and follows-up to verify completion

Job Requirements

1) University degree is required (preference will be given to those with degree in relevant field, though all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply)
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the food industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to people have recent experience in environmental health & safety
