Purchasing Analyst at Memphis

Job Description

The Operations Analyst will play an integral support role in the operations of defined best in class sourcing practices across multiple business lines and locations. Will support day-to-day research and analysis functions in the Strategic Sourcing Department, supporting the Department Manager, IT (Information Technology) and companys business unit and functional operations. Work closely with Managers to analyze and research specific data requirements, support the development and management of sourcing initiatives, procedures, and processes and help evaluate / selected suppliers based on pre-determined criteria. Will run queries and reports and distribute reports and other analyses to management. Help in the execution of RFI/RFP processes.

Assist in preparing information to support negotiation strategies for products and services. Assist in preparing and delivering communications and scheduling vendor meetings/ conferences. Provide research and information to help in strategic solutions and recommendations on supply base issues (e.g. negotiation strategies, cost savings programs, cost avoidances, supplier/material consolidation). Assist in developing and executing contract agreements.

Required:
* Solid analytical abilities to assess and document requirements, understand functional inputs/outputs for a request, and understand and document business processes
* Data and/or financial analysis experience
* Experience interpreting and understanding contracts and some negotiation
* Highly Desired: IT Operations support experience
