Job Description

UGN, a world class manufacturer of acoustic, interior trim, and thermal management products for the Japanese transplant automotive industry in North America, is seeking a Job Title to join our team in Jackson, Tennessee.

The Production Manager  plans, directs and manages all physical and organizational aspects of production to meet the production requirements of the Company and the needs of the customer as they relate to the department.  Ensures the quality and quantity of production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Confer with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, to develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specification, and delivery dates of products ordered.
• Plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations, cost factors, and budget.
• Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment.
• Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Managers subordinate supervisors who supervise Team Members in the Production Department.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training of Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Requirements

• Associates Degree (A.A.) from a two-year accredited college or technical school; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
