Job Classification: Contract Contacts insurance payers to verify patient eligibility and drug benefits within required time frames to ensure services provided will be reimbursable. This process includes processing test claims via the companys system, or checking various databases that can provide the patients benefits. Obtains Prior Authorizations from payers; including coordination with the physician and the insurance company. Reviews benefit plan design, contract specifics and clinical criteria. Other duties that may apply: Resolves claim exceptions in order to process a shipment for the current day. Bills secondary claims and copay assistance if applicable. Examines patient accounts to determine if a payment is required to release a shipment. This involves reviewing the account for collection activity, write offs, copay assistance and client restrictions.8-5 normally-OT is sometimes mandatory throughout the week and on Saturdays. If a contractor works on Saturday, they usually dont work past 4pm. Reps also alternate a 10-7 shift within the department every other monthNormal shift is 8-5, however a 10-7 rotation is required. Supervisor will notify the employees ahead of time when their shift is. Shifts are based on business needs.....final shift will be determined when hired.Each employee does it for a week about every 2-3 months. Also, they may be asked to work overtime if needed and approved by Management. Time and attendance is closely monitored also which is basic for the company. Most daily shifts will be 9-6 and a few 8-5.
