Maximo -Java Developer at Chattanooga

Job Description

. Adecco Engineering and Technical currently has an urgent need for a Maximo (7.5) Systems Analyst for a 24 month (or longer) contract opportunity here in beautiful and scenic, Chattanooga Tennessee! In this role you will be providing technical supervision including product delivery, day-to-day coaching and feedback. Primarily responsible for software development projects or overseeing the maintenance of existing software. Incumbent must have Maximo 7.5 expereince. Great emphasis on one or more of the following technical areas:

Java

Oracle Database

SQL language

Maximo - MIF

Maximo - Application Designer

Maximo - Workflow

Maximo - Java API

Maximo - Automation Scripting

Maximo - Migration Manager

Maximo - Conditional UI

BIRT - Reporting

Cognos - Reporting

Tibco

Responsibilities include:

Managing development projects by using our adopted development methodology interfacing with user to determine scope, business objectives and system requirements ability to integrate ideas and concepts into architectural designs for complex computer solutions.

Recommend solutions after evaluating alternatives, providing cost benefits for each alternative.

This could include evaluation of package software.

Gain approval for selected solution from user responsible for development of schedule to ensure on-time delivery of solution document the proposed solution which includes a definition of the user interfaces, functional processes, and data within the proposed system.

Acquire package software if necessary and define any customization which would be needed.

Oversee and participate in the technical design of the system.

Oversee the building and testing of the proposed system.

Responsible for verification that the software meets the original business objectives and is functional as designed assists in implementation and post implementation of support of systems provides expert advice to other is professionals.

Prepares and presents proposals to all levels of upper management.

BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field or equivalent is required.

Soft skill set includes strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Must have demonstrated project management skills.

Extensive experience in applying the concepts, practices and procedures related to application development experience with two languages/tools and experience with at least one DBMS is required.

Extensive experience with tools and/or products identified in the IT strategic plan and germane to specific job duties.

Must be able and willing to assume on-call rotational assignments which may include 24 hour on 7-day per week availability.

Travel may be required to carry out project work.
