Associate Business Analyst at Nashville

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Expected to accurately process and document all program transactions, tax remittances, tax filings, insurance claims and wage garnishments based on program rules defined in contract with client
May be assigned to supervise staff and will likely need to juggle activities for multiple projects
Coordinate timely delivery of PPL products and services to assigned client(s)
Responsible for creating and maintaining client relationships, including project startup and key contact
Responsible for lead or support role in proposal development

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned as appropriate and necessary). The requirements listed below are ranked in order of importance and are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to do the job successfully. Include appropriate references to quantitative abilities, computer skills, writing skills, research skills and general attributes. (Note: It may be helpful to use the PCG performance evaluation tool as a reference point.)


Establish and manage a liaison role between PPL and various program stakeholders (30%)


Provide day to day managerial support of operations across functional areas


Coordinate Project Requirements and Client Expectations (25%)
Ensure PPL corporate policies are aligned with client expectations on each assigned project
Spec-out technical needs with PPL IT staff, define business need for process improvement, and work with IT staff
to design, test and execute the recommended IT solution
Design, monitor and modify monthly reports in Report Writer, Crystal or other reporting software
Assist clients with budget development and payment processing inquiries
Log telephone interactions with Client Agency Staff, Case Managers, Workers, Participants, and Families

Assist Business Development and Program Launch Activities (20%)
Identify new PPL business growth opportunities and develop PPL seminar/conference presentations
Perform research and writing tasks to support proposal development, financial analysis, and workplan production
Remain informed of PPL market requirements, attend conferences as assigned and participate in internal seminars


EDUCATION and/or PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (include any required certificates, licenses and registrations):

Education: Bachelors Degree required

Experience: 0-2 years experience in business administration, preferably in an automated system environment.

Skills: Detailed and process improvement oriented
Financial / accounting systems experience preferred
PC spreadsheet skills preferred
Experience with database system beneficial
Strong writing skills

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leader of Account Specialists and Clerks, as assigned by Project Manager
