American Crystal Sugar Company is seeking experienced Millwrights to work out of the Minnesota facilities in Moorhead, Crookston, East Grand Forks and the North Dakota facilities in Drayton and Hillsboro.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with federal, state, company, and factory safety requirements.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, (GMPs).
• Comply with company quality standards.
• Interpret and apply technical codes.
• Participate in the training of new hires and apprentices.
• Comply with and support the principles of Operational (Maintenance) Excellence.
• Use and safely operate hand and power tools.
• Perform rigging to move, locate, or relocate equipment using portable rigging and overhead cranes.
• Operate various pieces of mobile equipment including but not limited to fork trucks, manlifts, trucks, and skid steer loaders.
• Perform a variety of lubrication related functions including inspections, changes, lubricant application, and auto-lubricator maintenance.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance tasks.
• Communicate with appropriate personnel to optimize equipment performance.
• Perform basic planning and scheduling activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.
• Describe the basic operating concepts and fundamentals of the major factory systems.
• Install and align trunions for large rotating equipment (including requisite rigging)
• Install, maintain, rebuild, replace, and troubleshoot mechanical seals.
• Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic (vacuum) systems including air compressors and air handling units.
• Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
• Maintain and repair fired heaters and boilers including coal-handling equipment, ash handling equipment, soot blowers, and vibrators.

Job Requirements

• Must have a HS Diploma/GED
• Two-year technical degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years full time industrial millwright experience OR
• Fully completed state approved millwright apprenticeship and a minimum of 2 years full time industrial millwright experience OR
• Minimum of 5 consecutive years of full time industrial millwright experience (with HS Diploma)
• Must possess the appropriate tools required to perform daily tasks
• Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment drug testing and criminal background check
