Classification: Software Engineer

Compensation: $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year

JOB SUMMARYThis position requires an experienced application developer who will be a key development resource for our software development team. This position requires a background in business application development with an emphasis on REST services consumption, UI/UX implementation and the use of JavaScript to improve user experience. JOB RESPONSIBILITIESWork directly with Agile teams to build systems based on an n-tier architecture by consuming services and assisting with presentation layer development.Act as a resource to presentation layer developers by building re-usable tools and services which will increase and maintain usability, maintainability, and reliability in our systems. Work closely with the Scrum Master and Application Engineers to fully understand system requirements and use cases in order to develop tools that meet the demands of stakeholders.Collaborate closely with the Agile team in order to improve processes and technology supporting both the development and maintenance of our applicationsInterested in working both in the middle tier using ASP.net and working in the presentation layer using MVC 3/4 and Razor. Ability to work closely with teams of developers to accomplish common goals. Passion for building well-designed, maintainable, reliable systems using industry accepted best practicesEXPERIENCE Minimum 4 years professional business application development experienceStrong abilities in ASP.NET/C# JavaScript, CSS and HTMLPrevious experience with the development of business applicationsSKILL SETSRequired: ASP.NET, C#, Subversion or Git, JavaScript, CSS, HTMLOTHER CONSIDERATIONSPreference given to candidates with experience using the Agile Development MethodologyPreference given to candidates with experience building and maintaining market research applicationsADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThis is a full-time, on site, salaried position, with generous medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as paid vacation.
