Founded in 2002, LabConnect provides global central laboratory services including routine and esoteric laboratory testing, kit building, sample management, biostorage and scientific support services for biopharmaceutical and CRO clients in support of their clinical trials. LabConnect is a central lab headquartered in Seattle with a primary operating facility in Johnson City, TN. Data Manager

The dynamic, hands-on individual we select for this role, will perform test builds in LIS and LabConnect system, set-up Investigator site and validate testing to provide new clinical trials start-up by performing the following duties: 

• Improve business processes and support critical business strategies by directing the Laboratory Information System (Soft) implementation and maintenance for clinical trials tests
• Work with data companies to ensure compatibility between companies
• Formulate systems and ensure projects meet strategic needs as directed by Director of Information Technology (DoIT)
• Provide technical support to project team members
• Handle complex application features and technical designs
• Design and implement the components of clinical trial test panels and clinical trial test templates for reference testing
• Complete validation testing and documentation per computer validation procedures for clinical trials LIS test and panel builds
• Interact with IT Director to coordinate data format, delivery options and customer service-related management reports for requesting sponsors, CROs and data management representatives
• Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Perform a variety of tasks related to the LIS functionality

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree with 3-4+ years related experience and/or training in the LIS (Soft) System or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) with a Tennessee license
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and development, design and database software

• Experience in clinical trial protocol development and FDA 21CRF11/GLP preferred
• Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices and procedures
