ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
In this position, you will provide leadership and technical direction to the Care Management team to ensure that benefit determinations and development of comprehensive care plans are handled promptly, accurately and efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs coaching and provides feedback to Care Management staff of their ongoing production
Supervise Care Management staff including general human resource duties such as:
o assisting with the hiring process,
o organizing day to day workflow, o training and quality review for the team,
o ensuring work is completed in a timely manner to meet customer expectations.
Assist staff with questions and problems relating to benefit determination and care planning.
Identify the need to escalate cases to department manager and/or medical director.
Develop new and ongoing policies and procedures for new and existing clients.
Review existing policies and procedures for effectiveness and make recommendations.
Provide input towards system redesign for improved efficiency and quality.
Communicate with manager and/or director about problems involving team operations such as workflow and care management services such as client development activity.

Job Requirements
3+ years claims experience
2+ years supervisory or management experience in an operations setting; preferably in health plan administration
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Knowledge in claims systems and procedures
Ability to lead staff in areas such as organizing, prioritizing, motivating and promoting team work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
