Mechanical Designer - Sheet Metal at La Vergne

Job Description

Volt has partnered with a leading electrical manufacturer in search of a Mechanical Designer for a 3-4 month project that could extend long-term for the right candidate.

Generate and modify Bill of Materials.

Create engineering change notices.

Creating sheet metal designs for enclosures/medium switchgear and other projects.

Make changes to 3D models and 2D drawings.

Work side-by-side with Engineers and other members of the management team.

Complete projects and tasks in a deadline driven environment.

Complete other duties as assigned by management or engineers.

Job Requirements

• A minimum of 5-7 years sheet metal design experience specifically using Inventor and Pro-E.
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology or other Engineering discipline.
• Full understanding of BOMs.
• Ability to take initiative and effectively take direction and work alongside of lead engineers.
