Application Systems Analyst at Franklin

Job Description

Maintains, monitors, and supports Clinical Systems applications with critical reliability and maximum uptime. Position will be responsible for the overall Clinical Systems applications support for the enterprise. Performs technical functions including supporting and troubleshooting hardware, software, and systems for the Clinical Systems applications environment. Maintains a high level of service on Clinical application production systems and anticipates future requirements, trends, and changes to assure current and future customer satisfaction. Performs troubleshooting of Clinical Systems application problems utilizing management consoles and other troubleshooting tools. Assists in creating and maintaining graphical and text-based documentation. Available 24x7 on rotational support on-call. No travel required.

Job Requirements

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support and maintain Clinical Systems applications.
  • Maintain Clinical Systems application documentation as it relates to system configuration, support, and processes.
  • Facilitate work efforts across multiple IS teams, business partners, facility staff and vendors.
  • Provide superior communications to customers, business partners, and other stakeholders during critical issues.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of Clinical Systems applications in support of all hospital and enterprise computing systems.
  • Provide level 2 support for event identification, event correlation, event escalation and event recovery as related to Clinical Systems applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex configuration and troubleshooting issues within a multi-vendor application infrastructure.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Outstanding customer service skills. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Ability to work and effectively communicate with executives, enterprise-wide and group management, peers, and outside vendors. Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, organizational skills, and ability to analyze business problems and opportunities. Strong ability to work on and prioritize multiple, concurrent projects while meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with little supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of solid experience supporting large corporate environments
  • 3 years experience in Healthcare industry preferred.
  • 3 years Clinical Systems application experience preferred - such as McKesson, Cerner, Keane, Pro-MED, HMS, or Meditech. Proficient in application maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Experience in McKesson applications including HCI, HPP, and HPF a huge plus.
  • Experience in Linux and Windows servers needed but not required.
  • Experience in SQL query tools and database structures, HL7 interface standards, and FTP fundamentals preferred.
