Job Description
The Program Manager/Sr Program Manager is responsible for making sure the program is a success. This person will be responsible for all communications and transactions with the customer, handling of all changes in schedule, design, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS · Business Planning
- Participates in Strategic and Budget Planning related to respective Programs
- Communicates sales forecasts and fluctuations as it relates to revenue and profitability
- Coordinates budget coverage for capital investment as it relates to Program needs
- Provides Customer description and Business strategy
- Acts as liaison between customer and company
- Coordinates engineering or schedules changes (ECO’s and SCN’s), material issues, problems
- Serves as escalation point for customer issue
- Builds business relationship and gains increased, profitable business
- Travels as needed to foster good customer relationships
- Develops Program Review Report for executive management
- Manages and reports customer scorecard
- Acquires and distributes all required customer documentation
- Plans, initiates and manages new Product Introductions (NPI), including prototypes
- Continuous Improvement Planning
- Evaluates and seeks ways to save on products for programs
- Aggressively seeks continuous improvement ideas to strengthen the company
- Financial Management/Control
- Reviews Accounts Receivable balance status weekly
- Reviews Purchase orders and ensures price and delivery accurately reflect quotation
- Communicates information on Inventory/Freight/Overtime decisions
- Handles customer bill back issues
- General
- Reacts positively to change and performs other duties as assigned
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- High level of attention to detail
- Creative problem solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
- Five years of experience in complete account management for customers
- Customer Service experience
- Project Management experience
- APICS certification preferred
- Reacts positively to change and performs other duties as assigned
- Follows the documented management system, including the Quality Policy. Further, the employee is required to understand how their job can affect customer satisfaction and/or product quality.
Job Requirements
Sr. Program Manager:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
- Five years of experience in complete account management for customers
- Customer Service Experience
- Project Management experience
- APICS certification preferred
