Job Summary:

Corporate Accountant will perform functions and support services in accounting and documenting financial transactions. Emphasis will be placed on projects related to domestic & foreign subsidiaries.

Essential Duties:

Many initial duties of this position are new projects and will require a self-starter who requires minimal supervision.

Perform independent research for presentation to management & make recommendations for action.

Be able to assist VP of Finance with various facets of ongoing and new finance projects.

Act as a liaison with foreign and domestic subsidiaries to establish work flows and procedures related to the receipt of financial & supporting information.

Assist in reviewing & monitoring internal controls of these subsidiaries including field internal audits as needed.

Be able to work with financial statements in various foreign currencies and translate/prepare them accordingly for consolidation to parent books.

Assist with reviewing and establishing foreign treasury services.

Be able to analyze foreign currency transactions to determine the least costly alternative.

Have a working knowledge of multi-state sales & use tax and be able to prepare state return filings accordingly.

Perform functions as needed in support of any potential M&A projects.

Be able to perform as a back-up resource in the absence of other department personnel.

Act as a resource person to tax and bank auditors.

Perform special projects & additional tasks as needed

Experience with multi-state sales & use tax

Knowledge of SAP preferred

Experience with mergers & acquisitions preferred
