Tennessean.com in downtown Nashville is looking for a .Net Web Developer with graphics journalism skills to join our digital development team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment. Were using emerging technologies to maintain and increase reader engagement. This position is responsible for programming, developing, designing and documenting interactive Web applications and automation procedures. Responsibilities include creating, maintaining and updating various Web applications created primarily in ASP.NET 4. The right candidate must have hands on experience with ASP.NET (C# ir VB.net), HTML/CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL Server. This person will also develop interactive infographics for digital platforms, tailoring them for mobile, tablet and desktop as appropriate and work with editors to complement breaking news, enterprise and project work. Strong digital storytelling skills using interactive graphics or presentations are a must. This developer will help generate ideas for new content or stand-alone interactive; keep involved with long-term and strategic planning on projects; and suggest storytelling opportunities and how to make them interactive on all digital platforms.
