Job Description:
The SMD will be joining our team of other skilled Magento developers & will be working alongside our CTO. This role will serve as a transmission between the team members who cant code in purchasing, customer service, marketing, accounting, etc. & our team of 6 geographically dispersed developers to get tasks done quickly & efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Adding technical specs & architecture to the teams plain English specs for new modules & website features
- Coding & architecting some of the more difficult projects we tackle
- Writing tests & adjusting our recruiting procedure to help us find more Magento Developers
- Cooperating with the rest of our team to brainstorm ways to relate Magento & technology in order to resolve real world problems
- Studying & incorporating other platforms into Magento (Zen Desk, Twilio, etc.)
- Assisting with transforming our platform from where it is today to make it more secure, scalable, fast, & stable.
- Responding to inquiries from our development team when they get stuck on a version, module, or ticket
- Revising our development teams dev commits for security, scalability, stability, quality, etc. before they are committed to the live site
Requirements:
- Skills with WordPress, MongoDB, or SEO / Internet Marketing is favorable
- Enjoy being pushed to your limits & working hard
- Familiarity with Magento, CSS, MySQL, HTML, Javascript, PHP, Linux, Git, Mercurial, or other DVCs
- Love working with, learning about, or doing anything technology related
- Take pride in your work
