IT Implementation Manager- TMS at Brentwood

The IT Manager Application TMS is responsible for managing IT personnel and maintaining/implementing high quality, cost-effective technology solutions and support for OHL.

Primary Duties

  • Supervises staff and provides leadership, training, mentoring, coaching, and direction
  • Manages the overall support incident work queue
  • Reviews open/closed incidents and provides feedback if changes or updates are necessary
  • Resolves all issues brought to the attention of the department and notifies the IT Director of non-routine problems and issues
  • Provides support when necessary to assist, troubleshoot, or diagnose complex server and/or application issues
  • Documents support related issues and common tasks performed by local staff and create step by step procedures
  • Develops upgrade strategies and release plans for application enhancements
  • Manages vendor relationships and licensing compliance
  • Publishes application metrics, release notes and governing reports
  • Designs, delivers and maintains application roadmaps
  • Assists with the development and implementation of a disaster recovery strategy
  • Participates in special project work with other business groups (requires light to moderate travel)
  • Provides support after normal business hours and respond to emergency work requests in critical situations as needed
  • Preps for and attends weekly CAB Meetings
  • Duties as required and assigned
 RequirementsEducation and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field from a 4 year college or university
  • Minimum 3 years experience in managing a technical team
  • Minimum 4 to 7 years experience in a system support role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with contract, vendor, and financial management within a dynamic, aggressive growth company
  • Knowledge of 3rd party logistics, transportation systems, and/or warehouse management is preferred
  • Knowledge of leading industry technologies with a strong knowledge around IT governance, project planning, and the technological usage/alternatives available in a multi-platform environment
Essential Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
