TENNESSEE AIR NATIONAL GUARD

INTRODUCTION: This position is located in the Wing CommandPost (Command and Control Section) of a KJC-135 Air Refueling Wing. The unit supports wing aerial refuelingmissions involving USAF, AFRES, and ANG flying units involving numerous typesof military and military training missions. They types of missions and aircraft supported include every type andvariety of air refuelable aircraft in the Air Force inventory, includingfighters, heavy aircraft, and tactical bombers. This position plays and integral part in mission scheduling, missionplanning, involving aircraft and aircrews, as well as contact with aircraftduring the mission. This position carriesout essential duties of the wing on a 24/7 basis as the Wing Command Post,monitoring and carrying out duties involved with base wide security, emergencyaircrew recall, the base Crisis Reaction Team, and similar duties critical tothe conduct of the mission assigned to the wing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: (1) Transmits instructions to aircrews and support assets to coordinate launch, recall, execution, and terminating missions in support of operation events. (2) Gathers information for Operational Reporting (OPREP) regarding significant events or incidents involving personnel and wing assets that require reporting to HHQ, Contingency Operation, significant peacetime events,and state emergency situations. (3)Dictates which methodology and systems are to be used in tracking diverse aircraft mission movement. (4) Submits flight plans and coordinates changes to FSS via Aeronautical Information System(AIS) or voice systems to support flying (mission) operations. (5) Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
GS-07: Must have at least 12 months experience gathering information,interpreting and determining appropriate courses of action or resolution. Must have experience processing operational information using different varieties of communications systems to include but not limited to e-mail, and internet messaging. Must have experience with Microsoft Office and internet based data systems. Must have experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences and/or problems.
GS-09: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training in arranging or procuring transportation for personnel, cargo or freight.Experience in pre and post auditing of freight bills, bills of lading, and personnel transportations vouchers. Experience coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems .
Meeting the months of experience requirement will not by itself be accepted as proof of qualification. Quality, type, and scope of experience or education must be demonstrated to show that applicant is fully qualified to perform duties at the grade level announced.
