Role Summary

This position will be on the number one priority program for CIGNA; specifically working on the multi-year implementation of a single Enterprise Provider Book of Record. The position will have significant impact on the facilitation and documentation of business requirements and therefore success of the program. This position is high visibility and high impact to the organization. The role bridges the knowledge space between customer or business needs with technical fulfillment of those needs. Works closely with business leaders and SMEs to insure requirements are complete and traceable back to the program scope.

10% Travel. Cigna Work Location of Chattanooga, TN or Windsor, CT.

Responsibilities:

• Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
• Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results.
• Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
• Not only possesses full technical knowledge of most phases of systems analysis, but also considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
• May instruct, direct, and check the work of business analysis personnel.
• Acts a team leader for projects with moderate budgets or of a short to intermediate duration.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with business customers, technical team members, and other technical contributors across the organization.
• Comfortable negotiating and presenting to both IT and Business personnel.
• Ability to produce clear and concise requirement artifacts.
• Strong time management skills; highly organized and detail oriented.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be able to relate complicated business systems in easy to understand language.
• Medium-large scale experience in full project life cycle across multiple platforms and technologies.
• Experience of Agile development a plus.
• Strong experience with tools or techniques for story boarding, requirements repositories, mind mapping and flow-charting.
• Strong experience/aptitude for working with remote project teams; most teams are not in the same physical space. Ability to facilitate large meetings by coordinating via phone, Web-Ex and various other techniques.
