Job: Admitting Registration Clerical & Scheduling
Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) is a global strategic research organization focusing on advancing therapies and accelerating drug development. It is one of the largest clinical research programs, conducting community-based clinical trials in oncology and cardiology through affiliations with a network of more than 700 physicians in the United States and United Kingdom. Additionally, SCRI offers management, regulatory and other research support services to drug development sponsors and strategic investigator sites.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Performs executive duties for senior level director, VP or Executive.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs complex administrative duties including responding for executive when he/she is unavailable, composing correspondence, and coordinating resources across corporate functions
Coordinates and maintains executive and senior management schedules and communications
Communicates and escalates unresolved issues to appropriate department head
Provides proactive and creative recommendations to enhance the efficiency and quality of work
Coordinates, maintains and continuously updates executives calendar
Schedules and maintains executives task list
Reviews executive correspondence for urgent issues and immediately reports to executive
Performs special projects as requested by executive staff or department head
Serves as the liaison between executive and pharmaceutical companies, SCRI employees and all outside contacts
Creates and updates presentations
May assist with editing and submitting manuscripts, abstracts, articles and other publications
Creates and submits expense reports
Attends meetings as assigned and reports on actions
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES This position requires the following minimal requirements:
Knowledge of general management principles
Knowledge of organizational policies & procedures
Knowledge of secretarial procedures
Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type from draft copy
Knowledge of basic arithmetic to make calculations, balance and reconcile figures, and make changes accurately
MS Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask in a fast paced, high stress environment is essential
Ability to work effectively with staff, and other internal and external sponsors and agencies
Job Requirements
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of directly-related experience
3 years of executive administration experience
1 year of experience in a healthcare organization
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
5-7 years of executive administration experience
