Operations Lead Receiving - 2nd Shift at Lebanon

Job Description

GENCO has immediate opening for 2nd shift ReceivingLead for NDBM/ ConUslocated in the Lebanon, Tennessee facility. This is a 298k square foot facility operating 2 shifts with approximately 600 teammates. The primary responsibility of the Level 1 Team Lead is to assist the Supervisor with daily administrative duties and mentor new teammates to ensure optimal success of the Consolidation and Shipping areas.

The Team Lead is responsible for:

Providing assistance to the CFS Supervisor
Maneuvering a forklift and/or pallet jack through limited space areas; verifying counts and products shipped/received
Determining inbound product is received in accordance with our customer and GENCO ATCs prescribed guidelines
Working in a safe manner while following all safety policies and procedures
Coordinating the workflow in the department, assigning work to the teammates, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of product
Ensuring departmental key performance indicators are being met, identifying in advance when and why they may not be met and notifying the Supervisor
Mentoring and creating a team atmosphere. Seeking opportunities to improve self, teammates, and processes with internal and external training
Handling teammate concerns and situations in a positive, professional manner. Coaching teammates through problems to ensure a positive outcome for the organization and the teammate
Reporting disciplinary issues to the Supervisor and working through resolution with the Supervisor
Insuring smooth transition of new staff from the training environment to the department and providing additional floor training when appropriate

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

Two (2) years of experience involved in performing work in a warehouse
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Previous experience with a warehouse management system preferred
Must have excellent problem solving and decision making skills
Must be a team player, self-motivated and committed to quality.
Must work cross-functionally with IT, other CFS areas, Engineering, Training, Production Control and customers/carriers.
