Job Description
Major manufacturing firm in West Tennessee has a plant in the Jackson area where major upgrades and capital improvement projects are taking place. They are the major market-share holder worldwide in their product line, so opportunities for advancement abound.
If you enjoy hands-on project work from concept to completion, and interacting with many different departments in a facility, then this is the environment for you. Processes involve laser cutting, stamping, welding, finishing, and assembly, among others. You will be troubleshooting problem areas, improving layouts, and researching, visualizing, purchasing equipment, and providing leadership for projects of all magnitudes.
Job Requirements
To be considered, you need to have:
- BS degree in a technical discipline, from a recognized institution
- Several years experience with metal-forming presses, punching, tooling, etc.
- Experience with continuous improvement programs, ideally Lean
- Experience with automated data systems and CNC equipment
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to effectively use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Pro-E
