Multicraft Maintenance Technician Position Summary: Complete all maintenance tasks (electrical and mechanical) as assigned. Provide feedback to supervisor has required improving the department. Utilize job related software to manage work assigned. Be engaged in processes to reduce maintenance downtime. Have a safety first mentality. Core Tasks: Promote safety, environmental, and housekeeping throughout the facility. Troubleshoot and inspect equipment during downtime events. Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment. Maintain shift work records in order to track work complete. Inspect and understand the technical aspects of oil pumps, water pumps, pneumatic conveying, dust collection, bearing installation, coupling alignment, blowers, fans and rotary valves. Work with supervisors in trying to solve downtime issues Perform electrical troubleshooting on electrical components in a manufacturing environment (circuits, controls, motors, starters) Keep production lines up & running in order to ensure customer expectations are met Must be able to read schematics and technical resources to help in troubleshooting Work with other maintenance personnel on projects and preventative maintenance tasks Provide basic training to production personnel and others as needed in the plant Working knowledge of AC & DC Drive Controls Work with a high degree of concentration under stressful situations. Maintain a strong working relationship with the other departments and functions throughout the plant Other tasks as required. Required Skills: Must have some welding experience in arc & Mig on mild steel, stainless & aluminum Basic understanding of wire making and compound processes. Forklift certification. Ability to multi-task. Able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to walk the entirety of a 135,000 foot plant as needed during a normal workday consisting of machine breakdowns. Climb up to 15 foot ladders as required on a frequent daily basis, as well as stooping, bending and crawling. Must be able to work in a changing, dusty manufacturing environment. 2 Year Electrical Degree or equivalent. 5 years minimum maintenance experience plant call experience in a manufacturing environment. Other Requirements: Must be flexible & able to work any shift Call-in could be required for any shift Must have a can do attitude, a sense of urgency and be a team player.
